Happy First
April 10th 2011 saw the birth of a grassroots group composed of a handful of photography enthusiasts, fueled with their love of cameras, films and shutters that capture everyday moments. It was an uprising of sorts, a revolution that sought to bring the analog lifestyle and the digital world together.
A handful of people which blew up to a hundred in a week, to more than 200 members in a year. Active, eager and excited. The Shutter Revolution is born.
First months, Baby Steps.
Small photowalks with less than 5, moderate ones with 18+ and after 3 months, on the First ever General Assembly, almost 50 attendees! Whew! Fries Parties which turned into burger parties at The Burger Joint and Pool parties on our first Christmas. Pet projects, we have LOADS of that. Ranging from small video projects, photography seminars, collaborations with other local groups and even international ones. We’ve met a lot of people, made awesome friends and gone on numerous adventures. All in the space of a few months.
And shutterpeeps, today, we’ve turned ONE. Woohoo!
To celebrate, we’re throwing a big peekneek parteey!
Grow your moustaches. Load your cameras. Charge your batteries. We’re in for an epic partey! And everyone’s invited!
